PRFD gives Prince Rupert residents front row seat into probationary firefighter training

The Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue service has offered up a short but still a pretty interesting glimpse into some of their training.

The PRFD posting a video yesterday of the practical skills testing for their probationary members at the six month point of their training program.

Using thermal imaging, the video shows a firefighter working a hose as part of the exercise.

The video is part of the PRFD's growing anthology of training videos and photos, last month Prince Rupert Department's members were in Terrace taking part in training on elevator rescues.

You can find more of their training project, as well as other notes from the First Avenue Fire Hall from the PRFD Social Media page here.

Further notes on the work of Emergency Responders across the Northwest can be reviewed here.
