Environment Canada had a triple advisory in place for a brief period of time today, with three notices posted to the Prince Rupert Weather site for this morning.
The advisories include the ongoing Arctic Outflow Warning, a Special Weather Statement from yesterday (since ended) and just released this morning the Snow Fall Warning for the region.
The latter calling for 10 to 15 cm of snow beginning tonight and carrying over into Friday morning before transitioning to rainfall by afternoon or evening.

As we noted yesterday, the snow will come as a Pacific front begins to push the Arctic outflow conditions back to the north, making for a period of warmer temperatures and rainfall throughout the Christmas weekend ahead.

The weekend ahead finds Weather Warnings in place for almost all of the province, including HaidaGwaii and all areas inland from Prince Rupert east.
Follow Environment Canada for updates as the system approaches.
As a result of what's ahead, keep an eye on the Drive BC website for travel alerts for those travelling Northwest roads this week and over Christmas
