Travel Advisory for Highway 16 for Monday morning



Driving conditions on Highway 16 towards Terrace are providing for limited visibility and heavy snowfall this Monday morning,

Drive BC issued a Travel advisory at 8:23 on Monday morning advising for caution for travellers heading through the Terrace region of Highway 16.

Further updates on the Highway conditions can be found on the Drive BC site, while weather in the Terrace region can be reviewed from the Environment Canada website.

CFTK-- Travel Advisory Highway 16 (Prince Rupert - Terrace)

Update 11:30 AM:

Highway 16 was closed in both directions shortly after 11 AM on Monday, after a major vehicle collision involving three tractor trailer rigs approximately 70 kilometres east of Prince Rupert. The highway is expected to be closed for a number of hours while investigations take place and the clean up continues.

Update 7 PM

Road has been reopened, but a travel advisory issued



Drive BC advises that the Highway will remain closed at least until 6 PM and perhaps to as late as 10 PM.
