Preliminary nominations for the wide range of award categories took place through the early part of January, with the deadline for applications having passed on January 17th at midnight. Now with the reviews completed, the final three nominees in each category will be announced to the public on January 24th.
Once the nominees are revealed at a reception planned for Thursday, the voting for the second round of the competition will take place, starting at midnight on Thursday the 24th.
The final award winners will be announced at the Chamber's Business Excellence Awards Ceremony, the date of which has yet to be listed on their events calendar.
The Awards ceremony is always a well attended event designed to recognize achievement in the community.
Last years event took place on February 25th and provided recognition to a number of local entrepreneurs and services for their contribution to the community in 2011.
