Fisherman's Sturling Spiel set for Curling Club on Saturday

It will be curling that looks a little different for many, 2 person teams, delivering six stones per end for six ends in a game.

A change up of the normal curling scene that makes up part of the Fisherman's Sturling Spiel. An open curling spiel that is part of a drive by the Prince Rupert Curling Club to increase membership at the Seal Cove facility.

The event takes place Saturday, with a dinner for the curlers at 5 PM to go along with the action on the pebbled ice.

The A, B, C and D finals take to the ice at 6:30. With the social activities associated with the sport to follow shortly after the finals get underway.

The event which is cosponsored by Wheelhouse Brewing, offers up three games for the 2 person teams that register for the spiel.

The entry fee per team is 50 dollars, which includes the dinner.
