City Council Preview: Monday, March 7 , 2016

Council comes in like a lamb for the most part for Prince Rupert City Council with a fairly light agenda for Council members to tackle tonight.

Tonight's gathering at Prince Rupert City Hall features a pair of reports one on some proposed work to be done by the Prince Rupert Rowing and Yacht Club, the other in response to a request from Councillor Blair Mirau, providing Council members with background on the Ridley Island Tax Sharing Agreement,

Council will also receive a pair of correspondences to consider letters of support from Council for a pair of local initiatives, while the City's Chief Financial Office will deliver a report related to the Cow Bay Marina Fees and Regulations.

A late item for Council tonight will see Council members consider moving the status of the Kanata School lands from tabled to a second reading, setting up the process for a public hearing for the property in question.

Council members will bring the evening to an end with an opportunity to raise any concerns or questions  that they may have, while there will also be another update on the progress of the Housing Committee.
