The teams are set and come Saturday morning the scramble will be on, as members of the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce and others in the community hit the links of the Prince Rupert Golf Club, taking part in the first of what many hope will be an annual event on the Chamber calendar.
Saturday Chamber members tee off in the Beans and Jeans Golf Scramble, a chance for the teams of five to get in a round of golf, grab a top end meal and do some socializing and networking.
When it comes to the tour of the course, as the golfers get their round on the day underway, they will find that spread out across the eighteen holes will be four holes designated as Hole in One challenges, where prizes such as $10,000, a gold trip for two, a collection of golfing gear or a new set of clubs will be up for grabs for those with a straight drive and radar like eye.
The Scramble gets underway at 9 AM, with golfers advised to be in place by 8:30.
Some background on the event and a look at its sponsors is available from this information release from the Chamber.
