It was a busy weekend for the Rainmaker Volleyball teams as the Junior boys hosted some action at the CHSS Gym while the Senior and Junior Girls squads took to the road for weekend play.
The Senior Girls were in chilly Smithers and took first place overall with 2 straight victories over CCS by scores of 25-21 and 27-26.
Terrace was the destination for the Junior girls as the Skeena Wildcats hosted weekend play. The Terrace team took the opener of the day over CHSS, while Smithers topped the Rainmakers 25-20 in the second match of the day.
The Junior Boys went 3-0 in their games in Prince Rupert including two games with Queen Charlotte Secondary 25-16 , 25-22. The Rainmakers also got the best of CCS with two out of three sets and scores of 25-20, 20-25, 15-9.
The Charles Hays Rainmaker soccer squad also saw some action on Saturday, holding what turned out to be an enhanced practice session with some members from Kitimat's Mount Elizabeth.
The Saturday work making for some preparation for the Northwest Zones coming up this weekend at the CHSS pitch.
