The students at Charles Hays have not only found success in sports this year, but over in Alison O'Toole's Drama Department they're celebrating a strong showing at the NorthWest Drama Festival over the weekend in Terrace.

The long time Drama Instructor took her always well prepared thespians and support team off to the annual competition and the CHSS Play "Freak" made for the signature presentation on the weekend, claiming Representative Play and Excellence in Production Design honours from the adjudicators of the competition.

Along with the collective recognition, a parade of Charles Hays students collected a number of awards for their work over the three day event held at the REM Lee theatre.

You can review the full list of those from Charles Hays who took home their honours from the CHSS Twitter feed.

The next stop for the Producer, cast and crew of the CHSS presentation, is New Westminster when they take to the stage in the  Sears British Columbia DramaFest competition taking place from April 27 to 30.
