Small temblor rolled along Northwest fault line Tuesday
At a magnitude of 2.7 a small temblor on Tuesday near Craig, Alaska probably wasn't even noticed, yet it still serves as an indication of the active nature of the fault line that runs along the BC and Alaska coastline.
Yesterday's seismic event which was recorded at 11:50 AM, was 335 kilometres to the Northwest of Prince Rupert and had a depth of 22 kilometres.
It's the latest of a number of small to medium quakes that have rolled along that area of Southeast Alaska in recent months.
The lower range temblors come in the wake of the 7.9 quake near Kodiak in January which had the North Coast briefly under a Tsunami alert.
