Kitimat's Jody Craven to contest federal election for People's Party of Canada

Jody Craven will be the candidate
for the People's Party of Canada
in the fall federal election
Skeena-Bulkley Valley voters will have a new Party on the ballot when it comes time to vote in this fall in the general election.

That as the People's Party of Canada head into their first election with leader Max Bernier at helm, the former Conservative MP is currently rolling out some of the Party platform and making candidate announcements as he travels the country.

For Skeena-Bulkley Valley it will be somewhat of a familiar name that will be added to the growing list of candidates this fall, with Kitimat resident Jody Craven tapped as the candidate to try to make some history for the People's Party as a first elected MP.

Like the leader, Mr. Craven has signed onto the People's Party after a past political life with the Conservative's having recently finished second in the Conservative nomination race for the riding.

Mr. Craven has been making some early rounds of the Skeena-Bulkley Valley region since the announcement, highlighting some of the PPC themes.

He becomes the fourth declared candidate for this fall's federal vote, with Mr. Craven ready to hit the road along with Claire Rattée representing the Conservatives, Rod Taylor the CHP and Taylor Bachrach selected over the weekend to represent the NDP in the race in October.

Still to be heard from are the Green Party and Liberal Party.

You can learn more about his campaign and keep up to date on upcoming events from the People's Party website and Facebook page for Skeena-Bulkley Valley.
