Prince Rupert Cruise ship season,  the five months of visits start Thursday

The Cow Bay area is about to see a lot more pedestrian traffic as the big ships make their way to the Northland Dock for the next five months as Prince Rupert prepares to open the 2019 Cruise season.

The first of our expected 11,138 guests this summer will make their way through the Northland Cruise Terminal doors this Thursday, arriving aboard the Regent line's Seven Seas Mariner at 1PM and set to explore the city for nine hours.

The Seven Seas Mariner, a frequent visitor during cruise season will mark the opening for 22 port calls through the summer, with the Regent vessel making a second journey in July.

The Prince Rupert cruise season finds the Seven Seas Mariner making the only port cal in May, June will bring six vessels to town, July features five calls, while August and September both feature six port visits, with the Seabourn Sojourn bringing the 2019 calendar to an end on October 5.

The largest of this years vessels arrives on August 7th when the Crystal Symphony pulls up to the Northland Dock with the potential of 922 passengers arriving to see what Prince Rupert has to offer.

August will also bring the two busiest days of the Cruis season with two vessels in port on the 7th, with the Windstar vessel Star Legend also arriving that day.

Ten days later the Seabourn Sojourn and Oceania Regatta spend August 17th in port.

The Port of Prince Rupert was still awaiting confirmation of port visits from the Sea Bird, Sea Lion and National Geographic Quest, all of which had indicated some interest in a port call for 2019.

The Port of Prince Rupert has some background for visitors when it comes to the Northland facility and the cruise industry in the community posted to their website.

Prince Rupert's other online footprint for the world of cruise adventures can be found here, though it would appear that a bit of work may still be required towards content and links for that particular website offering.
