City seeks applicants for Victims Services position with Prince Rupert RCMP detachment

The City of Prince Rupert is seeking
a Victim Services worker to work
out of the Prince Rupert RCMP detachment
With funding on hand from the Provincial Victim Services and Crime Prevention program, Prince Rupert's Victim Services Program has opened up an application process for a Victim Services Worker for the city.

The program which operates out of the Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP is based on a 20 hour a week - work week and provides emotional support and crisis response for those who have been victims of crime.

As well, Victim Services workers serve as a liaison between the victim and police to provide updates on the status of investigation and how the criminal justice system works.

The Prince Rupert position requires a number of skills and abilities as well as the ability of applicants to be able to obtain the RCMP Reliability Security Clearance.
