Prince Rupert Mounties seize drugs, make arrests following search warrant on Summit Avenue residence

Following a police operation on Friday, the Prince Rupert RCMP took  a thirty year old male and 25 year old female into custody in relation to an investigation into drug trafficking in the city.

The two Prince Rupert residents were taken into custody on May 10th following the execution of a search warrant in the 1200 block of Summit Avenue, with members of the Prince Rupert detachment arresting the two for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

During the execution of the search warrant, Mounties seized a significant amount of drugs suspected to be cocaine and marihuana, as well police seized a large amount of cash and two vehicles which the RCMP believe were related to the drug trafficking operation.

The male was released with a Promise to Appear at a future court date, while the female was released with no charges.
