Pillsbury Avenue Zoning change request to go to Public Hearing November 25th

A request to change the zoning for a property on Pillsbury Avenue will make for the theme of a Public Hearing at the start of the next Prince Rupert City Council session, with the hearing set for Monday, November 25th at 7PM.

The request from the current property owner is to seek a change from the current zoning of R2 Two family residential to RM2 Multi Family Residential, the focus is to change the property from its current status as a duplex to a triplex.

The topic came up for discussion at the City Council session of October 21st, with City Planner Zeno Krekic outlining the nature of the request and providing additional information for the Council members.

You can review his talking points on the process at the 31 minute mark.

As part of the public hearing process, any persons who deem themselves affected by the proposed change will have a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the bylaw.
