UPDATE 8AM: The road has been reopened to traffic in both directions, motorists should drive with caution though, as visibility is limited in the heavy rain in the community at the moment
Travel along Highway 16 has been re-routed at Portage Road this morning as emergency service personnel attend to a vehicle incident near the Yellowhead Centre at the BC Hydro site area, with the road closed in both directions at that point.
No details have been released related to the incident, Drive BC has indicated that the estimated time of re-opening is unknown at this time with an assessment currently underway.
