Multicultural Fair offers a glimpse of the many threads of Prince Rupert's cultural mosaic

This Sunday will bring a chance to explore some of the varied cultures that call Prince Rupert home as the North Coast Immigrant and Multicultural Service Society hosts its annual Multicultural Fair, with this years event set for the Highliner Inn from 1 to 4 PM.

The event features a number of multicultural performances during the three hours, as well as the chance to sample some of the tempting cuisine that is featured each year as part of the gathering.

Formed in 2010 the society provides for settlement resources for newcomers, promotes cultural diversity and provides for a range of programs for the community, as well as to participate in a number of cultural events through the year.

The Facebook event page for Sunday's showcase can be found here.

It's been a busy fall for the North Coast Immigrant and Multicultural Service Society, which moved into new offices in the McKay Street area and started a program of free tutoring in a range of topics for those that drop by.

You can check things out at their new address of 573 McKay Street or by giving them a call at 250-622-2915
