Chamber of Commerce Survey to hear of top priorities from business through four day survey project

The Prince Rupert Chamber of Commerce is set to take the pulse of the
business community through a four day survey period this month

An ambitious survey of local business owners is about to get underway by the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce, with Chamber Executive Director Anthony Yevyec and Business Innovation Project Coordinator Janet Song set to explore the concerns of over 250 Prince Rupert area businesses.

In an information release to introduce the Business Survey which will take place from February 24 to 27, Michelle Boomars-MacNeil, the President of the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce noted how the work will help inform the Chamber and its members on key themes for the local economy.

"This is a landmark survey that will enable precise alignment between our members and our vision. With this knowledge, the Chamber can deploy resources and build strategic partnerships focused on getting results that mean the most to the entrepreneurs who make our economy grow"

The four day survey will provide the Chamber with the background required towards a number of recent themes that they have developed.

Among them business retention, expansion and succession planning and alignment of services and benefits with the recent 2030 vision plan outlined by the Mayor in December, as well as the ongoing work of the Redesign Rupert planning program.

As for the interview process, it's anticipated that each survey session will take ten to fifteen minutes, all of the respondents that participate are eligible to win one of a number of gift cards donated by Chamber members Canada Safeway and Save-On-Foods.
