COVID dominated all conversations this week as Prince Rupert came to terms with dual reports of the virus from both School District 52 and Acropolis Manor.
The week of concern and quest for more information began with word from SD52 on Monday of a number of positive results at three locals schools; while Northern Health made first note of the Acropolis outbreak on Tuesday, with the numbers of those who had contracted the virus rising significantly by Friday afternoon.
The focus on COVID also was found north of the City as members of the Lax Kw'alaams Band found new measures in place to close the community off from its neighbours this week.
The first week without air service also made for a popular topic over the last seven days, as did our notes on reports that Skeena MLA Ellis Ross may be considering a run for the BC Liberal leadership.
However, the week was all about COVID and the initial report from Monday claims the top spot on the blog listings for the week.
