Water work repairs make for reduced access at Frederick and Highway 16

Water infrastructure repairs mean the closure of the
Frederick Street off ramp along Highway 16
(map from City of PR)

Travellers heading to or from the east side of the city will want to make note of some infrastructure work set to get underway today, as the City of Prince Rupert begins some necessary water work repairs along a part of Frederick Street.

An advisory posted to the City of Prince Rupert Facebook page outlined the traffic change that will be in place with use of the Frederick Street off ramp from Highway 16 not allowed with the off ramp closed as part of the work ahead.

There is no indication as to how long the work is anticipated to take as part of the city's information review.

Those travelling back from the Industrial park area can make use of Shawatlans Road as an alternative access to Frederick

You can gain any updates on the work from the city's Facebook page
