Prince Rupert Port Authority ready to showcase Northwest Gateway opportunities at upcoming conference


The Port of Prince Rupert will be one of a number of key participants at a major regional industrial conference next week, one that will shift to a virtual presentation mode owing to these times of COVID.

The conference hosted by the Prince George organizing committee of the BC Natural Resources Forum will take place from January 26-28, offering three days of discussion and information towards the vital resource sector in the province.

In addition to providing updates on the new projects on the way at the Port and terminal developments to come, President and CEO Shaun Stevenson will be participating in a forum opportunity. He will speaking as part of the first panel on Day 1, with the topic of Economic Recovery: A Cross Sector Perspective set to be explored.

Members of the NDP government will also be participating in next week's event, among those participating in the Minister's Roundtable of Day Two will be Nathan Cullen, the Minister of State for Land and Natural Resources Operations.


Premier Horgan will bring the event to a close on Thursday with Keynote address at 10:30 AM

The Organizers have also kept to the tradition of an exhibitors area, set to provide for a virtual version of the popular trade fair approach that many of these events feature.
