Departure of Vice-Principial Christine Franes for Ashcroft makes for changes at SD52

A change in administration for École Roosevelt Park Elementary School
has been announced by SD52

School District 52 has announced another shuffle of the staff at the administrative level, with the Board of Education announcing the resignation of Christine Franes from her post as Vice-Principal at École Roosevelt Park Community School.

Ms. Franes who has served SD52 in a number of roles since 1996 has charted a path south to the Gold Trail School District Number 74 which is based in Ashcroft.

She has taken on the position of District Principal of Early Learning and Child Care of the southern BC school District.

District 74 serves the communities of Ashcroft, Clinton, Lillooet, Cache Creek and Seaton Portage.

Moving into the Vice Principal Post at École Roosevelt Park will be Nicole Long who joined the School District in 2019.

SD52 Superintendent Andrew Samoil outlined some of the background to the changes which were effective October 24th through an information release from the School Board offices.

The update however didn't make it to the SD52 information portal until this morning.
