A spot in the starting lineup put former Charles Hays Rainmaker Liam McChesney in the basketball spotlight on Monday evening as the Prince Rupert athlete took to the court with his Illinois State Redbird team mates for a home date at Redbird Arena.
The night was one which saw him held off the listings when it comes to points totals, though gaining 22 minutes of play from the opening tip off of Monday's contest.

The Monday match up which was the Redbirds second game of the fall, was the first action for the former Rainmaker.
Things ramp up quickly for the Redbirds this month, with a pair of road games head and one home date before they head off for the Cayman Islands and an American Thanksgiving Week Tournament.

The Redbirds with a new coach in Ryan Pedon at the helm are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2021-22 season, all with an eye towards a placement in the conversation when it comes to March Madness seedings in the spring of 2023.
