Arctic Outflow Warning Issued for North Coast bringing strong Winds and colder temperatures




Update:  Environment Canada ended the Arctic Outflow Warning early Monday morning.

Start looking for your toque and gloves, for there is a cold wind a coming our way.

The November winds are about to come calling and timed as they are with an Arctic High pressure system arriving on the North Coast, the temperatures for Prince Rupert and points inland are about see a significant drop.

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for the Region on Saturday afternoon noting of winds arriving tonight from the North-Northeast at up to 80 km/h and temperatures dropping to -10 on the coast -20 for points inland.

Later Saturday evening Environment Canada ended the Special Weather Statement and added an Arctic Outflow Warning to their Advisory

The early arrival of the colder temperatures is expected to continue through the weekend until Monday.

More seasonable conditions arrive by mid week, though they could bring a risk of snow at times.
