Blue Christmas Service to share the burden of loss during the holidays

With all the Christmas parties, shopping, concerts and other events, the holiday period makes for a hectic pace for many, with little in the way of time to reflect on those who may be facing a loss of loved ones at this time of the year.

Both the First United Church and the Prince Rupert Hospice Society are looking to help call to remembrance for those who have suffered loss and the struggles they have faced, the two teaming up to  host what they call Blue Christmas, with the event scheduled for this Thursday at the First United on 6th Avenue West.

The service starts at 7 PM and offers a quiet and reflective space for those that have had to cope with loss, following the service coffee and fellowship will be offered.

The evening's events will wrap up shortly after 8:30, should you need more information about the service you can call 250-624-2087
