Food for fines and Holiday Hours make for the December notes from the Library |
If you've been looking to return that long overdue library book but haven't quite made the trip, the month of December offers up your best opportunity to return your borrowed materials and to help out the Food Bank in Prince Rupert.
The Prince Rupert Library is hosting their annual Food For Fines program, where two dollars will be deducted from your overdue accounts for every non-perishable, unexpired, boxed, canned for packaged item that you bring in to the Library.
The Library will then turn the donated goods over to the Food Bank to help stock their shelves at his very busy period of the year
The program which started earlier this month runs until December 30th.
If it's been a while since you've have totalled up your wayward ways on library materials, the Library can update the value accumulated on your account by calling 250-627-1345
The Library has also posted their Holiday Season hours and closures through to January 2nd.
To find out some of the other programs taking place at the Prince Rupert Library see their Facebook page or website.
