The comments from Mayor Lee Brain following the assault of a male in the downtown area in late November, provided for a range of observations through his Facebook page, with a large volume of residents weighing in about the incident in question and other issues of concern about the downtown area.
The start of the high school basketball has taken the two boys squads from Charles Hays to different parts of the province this week, with the Juniors in Prince George and the Senior Boys at a high profile North Shore tournament.
As for the remainder of our list of the five most read North Coast Review items of the week, Port Edward has started the search for Grant Writing co-ordinator as the District looks to access more funding for the community.
The RCMP out of Terrace continue to look for assistance from the public in relation to a fatal hit and run just outside of Terrace in the early hours of November 18th.
And just as the temperatures got to their coldest for the start of December, BC Hydro's infrastructure in Prince Rupert began to suffer a few troubles, with pockets of the city without electricity for periods of time over the course of two days.
However the top story of the week came out of a police report and an assault in the early morning hours of November 27th.

Northwest RCMP seek public's help in November Highway fatality -- RCMP from across the region are continuing to investigate a Terrace ara highway fatality from November that took investigators to Haida Gwaii and the arrest of one male. The investigation continues on with Mounties looking to the public to provide any information on the events of the early hours of November 18th that they can (posted December 3, 2018)
BC Hydro's Rupert infrastructure struggles -- With the city facing the two coldest days and nights of the month, Prince Rupert's hydro supply suffered a number of disruptions, with a pair of power interruptions affecting a large number of residents during the week. (posted December 6 , 2018)
