North Coast added to list of Wind Warnings for overnight period

All of coastal BC From Central Coast north is now
under a Wind Warning with heavy rains also
on the way for the North Coast 



The North Coast is now on the list, joining Haida Gwaii and the Central Coast as areas expected to see strong winds for Monday, part of another oncoming pacific frontal system heading our way.

Southeasterly winds in excess of 90 km/h are on the way, arriving first at Haida Gwaii and then destined to arrive by early Monday afternoon, spreading to the Central Coast


With the wind will come rain with the first of the serious precipitation arriving tonight up to 10 mm.

Monday sees rain at times heavy with 10 mm in daytime, while the main force of the frontal system arrives in the evening when the region will receive up to 70 mm along with winds of up to 90km/h.




Further inland, the rain will give way to snow with 10 cm expected tonight and then alternating rain and snow through the week for Terrace, Kitimat and Smithers.
