City of Prince Rupert heads towards reduced operations over the holidays

The great holiday shut down is almost upon us with Prince Rupert City Hall, the Recreation Centre, Library all set to head into holiday hours, along with the City landfill site and Public Works Department.

Below is a compilation of some of the closures for the holiday period.



For City Hall the Holiday season schedule is as follows:

December 24 -- Open 9:30 AM -- Noon Closure
December 25 -- CLOSED
December 26 - January1 -- CLOSED
January 2 -- City Hall Reopens at 9:30 AM; regular hours resume

Recreation Complex

December 24 -- All facilities close at 12:30 PM
December 25 & 26 -- All facilities CLOSED
December 27 to 30 -- OPEN Regular Hours
December 31 -- All facilities close at 12:30 PM
January 1 -- All Facilities CLOSED
January 2 -- Regular schedule resumes

Prince Rupert Library

December 24th to 26 -- CLOSED
December 27 to 30 -- OPEN regular hours
December 31 & January 1 -- CLOSED
January 2 -- Regular schedule resumes

City Land Fill Site (Ridley Island Access Road)

December 24 -- Open 8:30 AM to Noon Closure
December 25 & 26 -- CLOSED
December 27 & 28 -- Open 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM
December 29 -- 10:00 AM to 3:45 PM
December 31 -- Open 8:30 AM to Noon Closure
January 1 -- CLOSED
January 2 -- Regular schedule resumes

Garbage pick up dates will change over the holiday period, consult the city's website here, for the pick up dates for your neighbourhood.




Public Works 

December 24 --  Opens 8 AM -- Noon Closure
December 25 & 26 -- CLOSED
December 27 & 28 -- Open Regular Hours
December 31 -- Open 8 AM  -- Noon Closure
January 1  -- CLOSED
January 2 -- Regular schedule resumes
