The work site for the new supportive housing facility on Park Avenue is a busy place these days as workers with Rupert Wood N Steel and other tradesmen put in the foundation and make preparations for installation of the 36 modular units.
The site which was donated by the City of Prince Rupert will see the structure begin to take shape through this month with a hopeful completion for early in 2019.
The facility is to be managed and operated by North Coast Transition Society, which has been busy recruiting staff to provide the supports and services for the new housing option for those in the most need in the community.
The new residence is to be called Crows Nest Lodge and NCTS is currently seeking some artistic input into sign development for the new Park Avenue facility and the new Seniors Housing in Port Edward to be called Grey Owl Retreat.
