Prince Rupert City Council comes together tonight with a fairly light Agenda for their first meeting of April |
Reports and Appointments make up the bulk of the work load for council members at tonight's Prince Rupert City Council session.
The Reports will deliver a look at an application for a variance permit for a property on 8th Avenue East, as well as details on the launch of a New Emergency Alert system and City Mobile Application feature for cellular and mobile devices.
The Finance Department will also ask for guidance and direction as part of the final bit of procedure for the Budget process.
As well appointments to the Board for the Port of Prince Rupert and the Lester Centre Society will be released as part of the council work on the night.
The final item on the agenda is the final reading for the city's revised development procedure bylaw.
Council Members will also meet in a Closed Session at 5PM, with Council choosing to close the doors for the following criteria: negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public.
The range of Agendas for the Regular Council session, Committee of the Whole and Public Hearing for April 9th can be accessed here.
