The city's elected officials will be getting together this Thursday for what is described as a Special Regular Council session, set for a 5PM start in City Council Chambers.
The notice posted to the city website on Friday does not indicate the nature of the Special session and to this point there has been no Agenda for the meeting posted to the City's website.
Also not indicated is whether the session will be a closed, or open meeting accessible to the public and broadcast through the City's streaming service.

Update: City Administration has now posted the Agenda for Thursday's Special Regular Council session, which for the most part will deal with the process to put the Property Tax Bylaw in place for 2018.

It's puzzling that the purpose of the meeting is not stated. Notices of meetings that are to be closed state as the first order of business the reason why the public is to be excluded. It doesn't look like councillor Mirau's comments about openness are taken very seriously.
