Appointment Day for Prince Rupert City Council

Two members of the community will take on duties as part of their membership in a pair of local Boards that serve the region, as Prince Rupert City Council releases the latest civic appointments for the year.

At tonight's Council Session, the City will outline the appointments which were made following discussion at a closed session on March 26th.

With the City of Prince Rupert confirming that  John Farrell is set to return to the Prince Rupert Port Authority Board for a second three year term.

Mr. Farrell is a small business operator in the community and Manages the Community Futures office in the Capitol Mall.

Now in place with the Lester Centre of the Arts Society Board is Ms. Alison O'Toole, who will serve a two year term with the Arts Centre.

Ms. O'Toole has been a fixture in the community arts scene for a number of years, both as a participant with local theatre productions and as the Drama Department head and instructor at Charles Hays Secondary School.

The announcements are chronicled in the Agenda for tonight's Council session.
