Attention Argosy Shoppers!!! Do Not Be Alarmed ... that mannequin did move!

Theatre and window shopping come
together on Saturday at The Argosy
Those who drop into Prince Rupert's Argosy on Saturday may find that the store is more lively than usual, and if the "mannequin" you are looking at suddenly moves or speaks to you, don't be alarmed, it's all part of the shopping experience.

Students from the CHSS Drama department will be at the Third Avenue West location between noon and 2 PM, carrying on with a project that began last year as a fundraising initiative for their travels to the Provincial Drama Festival.

The students will be posing as display mannequins in the front windows, showcasing some of the items from the Argosy, with the opportunity available for customers and the curious to make a donation to help reduce their travel costs for the trip to Vancouver.

CHSS Drama instructor Alison O'Toole offered up some snapshots through Facebook of last years event which was hosted by Oceanside Sports.

The Argosy was also highlighting Saturday's events, providing for their welcome for the students through their own social media stream.

CHSS claimed the opportunity to move on to provincials with their success at the Northwest Zones in February, they have other fund raising plans in motion in the lead up to their departure for the provincials at the end of this month.

The Charles Hays students will take the production Fifteen Minute Minimum to the Provincial stage from April 26 to 28 at Douglas College in Vancouver.
