District of Port Edward recruiting for Board of Directors for North Pacific Cannery

Those who may be interested in becoming part of one of the North Coast's most celebrated of attractions will want to check out a current opportunity in Port Edward.

With planning already underway towards the 2021 tourism season, the District is recruiting for two new directors for the North Pacific Cannery Historical Site.

Among the skills they are seeking from applicants is a passion for museums and showcasing the North Coast Heritage to visitors from around the world.

Having experience as part of Non-Profit Board, as well as unique skill sets to offer the tourism industry are also key themes for consideration for the Board positions.

To find out more about the opportunity contact dwilson@portedward.ca for more information.

The Historical site was closed this year owing to the COVID pandemic, though hopes for a strong return in 2021 continue to be the guiding theme for the tourism industry on the North Coast.

North Pacific did use the summer towards planning for some of their restoration and maintenance projects.
