As they have in the past, the Lax Kw'alaams Band is about to deliver a one time December Gift of $500 per band member to eligible members of the Band.
Those wishing to apply for the gift must meet the eligibility standards in place which include the following:
Lax Kw’alaams Band Members registered as such on December 1, 2020. For minors under the age of 18 as of December 31, 2020, applications must be made by the parent or official guardian on their behalf.
Individuals age 18 or over as of December 21, 2020, applications can be made individually or with a registered spouse. Further documentation may be required if there is a shared custody arrangement in place.
All applicants must complete a "Gift Application Form" and deliver it to the Band Office by way of email or Fax
The final cut off date for applications is February 28th, 2021
Applications are to be processed as the Band Council receives them and with as large a membership as Lax Kw'alaams has, they are counselling patience for members as they submit their applications and await their cheques.
