More strong winds and rain on way for North Coast and Haida Gwaii

Satellite imagery from Environment Canada
shows more nasty weather forming up to the West
and Northwest of the region

Just as we've cleaned up some of the carnage from the weekend, along comes Environment Canada with another WIND WARNING, with strong Westerly winds set to arrive on Haida Gwaii and the North Coast overnight.

The Advisory issued on Wednesday morning is making note of a low pressure system building off Haida Gwaii set to bring winds in excess of 90 km/h with the potential for gusts of up to 100 km/h through until Thursday morning.

In advance of the winds will come some rain with 35mm expected on Wednesday and another 20mm on Thursday.

You can find updates on the approaching system from the Environment Canada website.
