CIHL Playoff season match-ups set, with first puck drop Friday night

The 2021-22 Regular Season has come to an end and while they stumbled down the home stretch, the Terrace River Kings did reach the finish line in first place; compiling a record of 11 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie making them the top Seed for the Playoff season which starts Friday evening.

The River Kings who up until this past weekend had yet to lose a game, struggled during their Cariboo road trip dropping a 6-3 decision to Quesnel on Friday and then taking  5-3 loss to Williams Lake Saturday.

The River Kings will look to move forward towards a Championship when they take on the Hazelton Wolverines with the first of the three game series set for a 7:30 puck drop in Hazelton. The series resumes Saturday and Sunday in Terrace.

For Prince Rupert Rampage fans, the second season features a showdown with the Kitimat Ice Demons, with the Rhinos on the road for Game One on Friday, followed by Game Two on Saturday at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre at 7PM.

A game three if required would go Sunday the 20th at 1PM

Williams Lake and Nechako round out the third and final series the ice breaker to their three game series taking place in Fort St. James, with the remainder of the series destined for Williams Lake.

The way of the CIHL Playoffs this year, will see Winner of that series will go on to play the Quensel Kangaroos who will be resting while the other members of the lodge battle it out over the weekend.
