Traffic incident brought downtown road closures during start of morning commute

Third West and McBride, one of three access points to the
intersection at McBride and Second West that was closed off this AM

What appears to have been a traffic related incident at the corner of McBride and Second Avenue West had traffic rerouted down Third Avenue on Thursday morning.

That after members of the RCMP had blocked off three access points to the busy intersection in the area in front of the Prince Rupert Court House.

The road closures took place during the early stage of the morning commute after 7AM, a tow truck was working the scene to clear the intersection, with the road reopened to traffic shortly after 8AM.
