Recreation Centre position latest job opportunity from City of Prince Rupert


The recent flurry of employment opportunities to join the municipal work force continues forward, with the Recreation Centre the latest destination for job seekers. 

That as the City of Prince Rupert has posted a Casual Facility custodian position for the Civic Centre.

The opportunity which is noted as a casual/on call position pays 30.96 per hour and is covered by the contact in place between the City and CUPE 105.

Among some of the notes related to the position the City outlines the following:

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the Facility Custodian I (Recreation) is reliable and energetic and able to work with diverse facility users under limited supervision. This individual must effectively communicate with co-workers and the general public, providing direction and supervision to individuals and various user groups. 

The Facility Custodian is responsible for public safety and satisfaction, and engaging all age groups in healthy recreational use of our facilities. Responsible for all duties related to facility sanitization and cleanliness, the Facility Custodian performs daily janitorial tasks, minor repairs, ensures the security and safety of guests and the premises and timely and accurate completion of all related reports and forms.
