December 15th deadline of Destiny for City's latest collection of derelict vehicles

The City of Prince Rupert Landfill site is coordinating this
month's derelict disposal program

Thirteen vehicles are on the city's list of vehicles that are on the way to demolition, part of their ongoing work on abandoned vehicles in the community.

The list of thirteen with destiny awaiting includes 9 cars, 3 trucks and a travel trailer, the age of the vehicles ranging from 1981 Green Ford 250 Pick Up, to a 1997 Grey Toyota Camry.

The full list is part of a City of Prince Rupert notice that was published in the back pages of the weekly paper this week, the city advising if you are the registered owner, you have until December 15th to rescue your property from the demolition list.

To do so you will need to provide ownership and pay all outstanding charges, including those of storage.

While the City doesn't provide for a copy of the list on the City website or social media pages.

It does offer some guidance on how the Derelict Vehicle program works as well as guidance for those who may have an unwanted vehicle they wish to be rid of.

As for those vehicles set to meet their fate on the 15th of the month, if you require more information related to the list of 13 you are asked to contact the Prince Rupert Landfill at 250-624-5482.

More notes on civic themes can be explored through our Operations Archive.

  1. Too bad the city is not pro-active on removing derelicts from the street. There is lots of crusher fodder on the streets of Prince Rupert. Note to city: the industrial site is in Prince Rupert boundries.
