He may not be transiting down Third Avenue in a parade this Winterfest, but Santa still has a few personal appearances to make as part of Prince Rupert's annual welcome to Winter and the holiday season.
The Prince Rupert Special Events Society announced this week, that the parade for Saturday morning has had to be cancelled, Special Events citing logistical issues and a lack of entries during the registration period as part of their social media announcement.
Santa will however be up early on Saturday with a three hour Breakfast session with Prince Rupert youngsters at the First United Church.
The Jolly Old Elf will be working into the evening as well, a feature attraction as well as being available for photos at the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Prince Rupert Court House.
And you never know, he may very well be spotted on one of the vessels of the Winterfest Sailpast which wraps up with the spectacular fireworks display over the Prince Rupert Harbour.
There's also a pretty good chance that the man in the Red Suit makes a rip around the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre Arena ice as part of Sunday's Free Winterfest Skate.
As the weekend events get closer, Prince Rupert Special events has put out a call for volunteers to lend a hand on Saturday afternoon and evening, you can sign up for Winterfest 2022 here.
