With the start of the Easter weekend just one week away, the City of Prince Rupert has provided a reminder for residents of the upcoming shift for the garbage collection cycle in the community.
The City noting through their social media page that the pick up day moves forward by one day next week.
From the comments section of the city's post comes an observation from a resident towards a change lo late in the pick up process for the residential service, with the City having made use of two separate collection trucks in recent weeks.
With that change, the Garbage side of the pick up has returned to a more physical requirement, with city workers on the truck no longer using the mechanical arm and emptying the cans by hand.
So far, the question towards the new process has yet to gain an answer.
More notes on the City's Operations Department can be reviewed through our archive page .
