U18 Seawolves off to Creston for Provincial championship

Once they hit the ice on Sunday,  the Prince Rupert Seawolves will have travelled the farthest distance to participate in the 2024 U18 Provincial Hockey Championships next week.

The Prince Rupert Squad is heading off to the Kootenys and the Tier 4 Provincial championship, a much anticipated event for the residents of the Creston Valley.

The Seawolves captured their Northwest Division championship earlier this month in Vanderhoof and now look to stake their claim to a Provincial banner.

For Tournament week, the Prince Rupert side has five games in the fist stage of tournament play, the first coming up on Sunday when they take on Houston.

The round robin play continues through to Wednesday when they will match up against North Okanagan.

Should the Seawolves find success through the week ahead , the Championship takes place in prime time at 7:30 PM Wednesday evening.

Creston, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year,  is looking forward to welcoming the teams to the Kootenays, showcasing their community spirit with a video of their plans for Tournament week.
