Another indication of the challenges facing the city's engineering department is currently up for our review on the BC Bid site, with another request for proposals for work on a city project now up for application.

This time, it's some much needed work on the retaining wall infrastructure along Pigott Avenue which  is up for bid this month, with the City of Prince Rupert's Engineering Department putting out a prospectus that outlines what its expectations for the project are.

The work is to take place in the section of Pigott that runs from the 1438 to 1454 block and will require that temporary access to residences in that area to be included as part of the work.

The City is looking to replace a retaining wall on Pigott, with
the request for Bids process now in motion for the work

The notice appears on the BC Bid website and includes a thirteen page overview of the project and the terms and conditions for the bid process for those looking to take on the job.

The city is hosing a mandatory Information meeting for those with an interest in the project, scheduled for September 12th along the stretch of Pigott where the work will take place.
