The Charles Hays Rainmakers are back in the Lower Mainland, with the Senior Boys basketball team ready to tip off at the Pitt Meadows 2014 Air Show Tournament.
Mel Bishop's squad is set for some top tier competition in the twelve team event, with the host Pitt Meadow Marauders welcoming a number of the highest rated teams in BC High School Basketball.
Among the teams taking part in the tournament are North Delta, Sir Charles Tupper, Mt. Boucherie, Collingwood, Sir Winston Churchill, Gleneagle, Windermere, South Kamloops and Cowichan.
The Rainmakers opened up the tournament on Thursday, finding themselves on the losing end of a 79 to 58 decision to the Port Moody squad from Heritage Woods Secondary.
The Rainmakers return to the court today, when Charles Hays takes on Vancouver's Collingwood at 3:30.

Saturday-- Windermere 84 vs Charles Hays 76
As Charles Hays arrived in the Lower Mainland they found that BC Basketball had given the Rainmakers an honourable mention in their most recent AAA rankings of the Top Ten teams in the province.
An acknowledgement of the success of the squad so far in the lead up to the Provincial Tournament in March.
