It was a pair of high tempo basketball games over the weekend in Prince George as the nationally ranked UVic Vikings made the trek north, set to take on the both the men's and women's teams of the UNBC Timberwolves.
On the women's side of the weekend's work, Prince Rupert's Sarah Robin had a strong Friday night game for the Wolves, playing for 29 minutes on the evening and collecting 15 points in a losing cause for UNBC, as UVic took the first of the two games by a score 79 to 69.
Saturday night she had the same measure of playing time, however the Vikes defence was significantly stronger in the get away game, as Robin was held to five points, with the Timberwolves finding themselves on the wrong end of the 67 to 54 final.
So far in the Timberwolves season, the former Prince Rupert resident is fourth in overall scoring for UNBC, with 143 points on the season, while averaging 30 minutes a game.
