Rupert Runners set to host Learn to Run Clinic for 2014



Those who have marked a quest for better fitness to their New Year's agenda will wish to make note that the popular Learn to Run Clinic is on the horizon.

The Rupert Runners Club hosts the thirteen week program which starts on February 11th and will continue on to take you up to the Crest Glory Days event of May.

The registration fee is thirty dollars, which also provides you with club membership and enrols you with BC Athletics.

The program itself consists of three sessions a week, with participants meeting at the Charles Hays Track on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 PM and on Sundays at 10:30 AM.

It is a gradual walk/run program developed by the Sport Medicine Council of British Columbia and makes use of the experience of a number of local runners in the community.

An information and registration session is set for Saturday, February 1st at 1 PM at Multi-Purpose Room of the Prince Rupert Library, for those that can't attend the February 1st session, a second one is scheduled for the same location on Wednesday, February 5 at 7 PM.
