The Kamloops RCMP held a Sunday press conference to announce the details of the arrest of a suspect in the murder of teenager CJ Fowler.
Ms. Fowler a resident of the Gitanmaax First Nation, was found murdered in the interior city on December 5th of 2012.
Since that time, the Serious Crime Unit of the Kamloops Detachment of the RCMP has been the investigating office. Investigators in Kamloops received assistance on the case from members of the E Division Major Crimes Unit, and detachments of the RCMP from Prince George, Terrace and Kelowna.
Sunday, investigators announced that Damien Lawrence Taylor had been arrested without incident on January 10th in Kelowna.
Taylor and Ms. Fowler had previously been in a dating relationship, it is believed that the two had travelled to the Kamloops area from Terrace.
Taylor who will have his first court appearance later today in Kamloops, is not a suspect in any other active, or ongoing investigation.
