Last weekend they were the focus of Seafest celebrations. Their 125th Anniversary making for the theme of the parade and their booth proving to be a popular stop over point for the 3rd Avenue festivities of Saturday.
This weekend, all events shift to Port Edward, as the North Pacific Cannery National Historic site hosts their own party.
Celebrating its 125 anniversary this weekend, Port Edward's North Pacific offers something for everyone, with a full schedule of events to showcase one of the North Coast's most popular destinations.
The weekend long Community Celebration at North Pacific, features a BBQ, as well as cake to celebrate year 125.
Organizers also have a number of activities for children set up and live entertainment makes for just some of the events planned for Saturday June 21st and Sunday June 22nd.
The North Pacific site is open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, there is no admission charge in place for this weekends activities.
For locals and visitors alike, the125th Celebrations of this weekend offers the perfect opportunity to check out the site and its historical perspective of the fishing industry on the North Coast through the last century.
